Manas Kumar is one of the finest Hindustani classical violinists in the concert circuit today. Having inculcated musical instincts from the age of five, he received his initial violin education from his father, Shree G Chaumua. When he was 11 years of age he underwent intensive training for 18 years from Pt. Bidyut Misra of Guwahati, a lecturer in the virtue of violin at the State College of Music, Assam. Manas is a physics graduate and he holds a degree in music from the prestigious Bhatkhande University, Lucknow. He has been acclaimed as an top-grade performing artiste by the All India Radio & is a proud recipient of the very prestigious ‘ Ustad Bismillah khan Yuva Puraskar’ by Sangeet Natak Academy…
